The Budget Process

The Diocesan Budget process begins in the spring with the Ways & Means Committee working with the Board of Directors to create a draft discussion budget. During the late summer this draft discussion budget is made available for review and comments. After considering this input and updated information, the Board of Directors approves a proposed budget at their September meeting that is presented to delegates for approval at Diocesan Convention in October.

The Board of Directors is making this 2026 Proposed Budget available for review prior to the Diocesan Convention. Delegates to the Convention will vote to approve this budget for 2026.

Plan to attend one of Pre-Convention Budget Hearings on Thursday, October 23 at 6:00 PM or Saturday, October 25 at 10:00 AM. All delegates are expected to attend, and everyone is welcome. Hearings are an opportunity to learn and ask questions about the budget and resolutions that will be brought to the convention floor. (Find the proposed budget & resolutions on the Delegate Materials page) These hearings not only provide valuable time for discussion, but they also help us keep on-floor discussion time during convention to a manageable amount, as many questions can be answered ahead of time during these hearings.
